While US Senator Joe Manchin might be considered prehistoric—or a prehistoric lump of coal because he defends it so much?—he and Senator Sinema are DINOs, i.e., Democrats in Name Only. The Good Ole Piranhas have their RINOs, according to that “f%$#ing moron,” our infamous ex-president; but the Dems have their DINOs, and they’re ruining a promising progressive program. (I’ll give the far-left Dems – AOC and her crowd – a pass for the moment, but they’re just as problematic!)
I’m guessing the “marching morons,” aka Trump’s minions, love Macchivellian Manchin. He should be a Good Ole Piranha and be done with his charade as a Dem. I suppose a US representative’s first duty is to represent their district. These bozos, though, Manchin and Sinema, might think their duty is to represent their states’ interests, but both DINOs put special interests that harm the US’s future above national interests, which you’d think would be senators’ first priority. They also focus on current politics without demonstrating any perspective on solving future problems of the nation and the world, “marching morons” who help the fascists in the Good Ole Piranhas.
Manchin is well known for that, paying no attention to the scientific evidence, for example, that says future generations will suffer terribly from an out-of-control climate (current ones are suffering terribly already, but it will get worse) from an out-of-control climate, especially in his own rural state where bigots, racists, and climate-problem deniers abound. He suffers from an extreme case of immoral political myopia. For him, political expediency trumps any concerns about future human suffering (pun intended). Sinema and he won’t be receiving any Profiles in Courage awards anytime soon, that’s for sure. Instead, people will spit on their graves for their narcissism and selfishness, worrying more about their next election than doing positive things for the country during their time as senators, no matter the political costs—no courage there, just expedient cowardliness. You’d think they’d have more spine, but they’re just political, spineless maggots.
In fact, I don’t know what Manchin and Sinema’s real motivations are, beyond staying in office. They certainly seem to love all the ass-kissing they receive from their fellow Dems, from the President Biden on down, who try to accomplish things. These two narcissistic pariahs are certainly enjoying their undeserved power as they wield it mercilessly. There are Dem senators from other purple states, or even red ones (e.g., the two from Georgia) who aren’t obstructionists striving to please their right-wing fascist constituents like Manchin and Sinema are. The latter two senators are the most egregious examples of why we need term and age limits in the US Senate. (I would prefer to do away with it altogether, of course.) Those might not affect Sinema for a few years, but they certainly could affect Manchin. Like many senators, he’s not only a DINO, he’s a dino, an old has-been who belongs in a retirement home, not Congress. (Probably fifty percent of the senators need to be in one!)
Let’s face it: Manchin and Sinema are obstructionists who support the Good Ole Piranhas’ fascist agenda, Manchin being the worst offender, but Sinema moronically playing along. They’re card-carrying members of that FPA, the Fascist Party of America. There is no Dem majority in the US Senate, only forty-eight Democrats, one ineffective VP who could break a tie vote, and two DINOs, traitors to their party and the country.
