Fascists, those MAGA Good Ole Piranhas led by and including that “f&^%ing moron,” always claim to be patriots. They’re not. Far from it! No one should ever confuse fascism with patriotism!
Fascists don’t love their country; they’re narcissistic psychopaths like DJT, so they only love themselves. Too many Good Ole Piranhas and their MAGA followers are far-right fanatics driven by self-aggrandizement. Their drugs are power and greed; they’re all addicted to them. Steve Bannon, for example, who is probably the scariest fascist monster, called on fascist groups to take up arms and pretend to be like the American patriots at Lexington and Concord, leading the attempted coup d’etat that took place at the Capitol on January 6, 2021 – they failed at the role and with their coup. Bannon called that patriotism. BS! That attempt to take over the government was the least patriotic action in our long US history!
So far. It might get worse. MAGA fascist Sen. Graham said there will be “blood in the streets.” Other MAGA fascists in Congress have called for violence as well. The DoJ’s raid at Mar-a-Lago was met with calls to kill FBI agents and the judge who signed that search warrant! Good Ole Piranhas running for office now air commercials with them holding automatic weapons and dressing in paramilitary uniforms. What’s happening to America? How can they call these actions patriotic? These people are fascist scoundrels who don’t even deserve to be called American!
The twenty-first century’s brand of fascism is also called populism or nationalism. The second reminds everyone of what the word Nazi stands for. The first belies the fact that most people find fascism repugnant. They both are examples of 1984-like doublespeak. Fascists have always been in the minority, but they can take over a country when the majority there allows them. That’s happening here now in the US, it’s happening in the UK and other European countries, and it happened in China and Russia. As in Orwell’s 1984, fascists distort the meaning of words as they create the twenty-first century’s new dialect of doublespeak.
There’s more evidence for considering that fascism is a worldwide plague more dangerous than Covid-19. So-called conservatives, MAGA Good Ole Piranhas all of them, went to Hungary to listen to Orban, that country’s fascist leader. Kim, Le Pen, Orban, Putin, Trump, Xi, and many more world leaders are neither patriots nor populists—they’re mentally deranged fanatics who don’t give a rat’s ass about ordinary people no matter what their doublespeak words of blathering say to the contrary. Citizens of their corresponding countries should never believe what these people say. They’re all liars. How many lies did Trump tell during his four years dedicated to destroying America’s democracy? Fascists lie and then call their lies truth. Say a lie often enough, the fascists claim, and people will start believing it. That technique was created by Goebbels, Hitler’s propaganda minister, and it’s still used today by fascists everywhere: Putin and Xi lie to their people, and DJT and his evil MAGA minions do it to Americans.
Americans should never believe what Trump says, what MAGA Good Ole Piranha senators and representatives say, or that the fascist majority of SCOTUS judges and other Trump appointees say. In particular, when these fascists say they’re patriots, they’re not. What AG Barr said about that “special master” perfectly applies here: That’s a crock of shit!
Americans will be strafed and bombarded by fascist lies as we head into the 2022 midterm elections. It’s our civic responsibility to ignore or counter them, especially those that claim that supporting a MAGA candidate is the patriotic thing to do. If you need further motivation, just remember what happened in 1930s Germany when people became complacent and believed the fascists. Vote Democratic in November to avoid turning America into Nazi Germany!
