The “fucking moron” in our White House might portray Charlie Kirk as an American martyr in his desire to increase the width of the chasm in US’s body politic by claiming his assassination was a plot hatched by radical Dems and other nefarious liberals, but neither one is true and just corresponds to another one of the orange devil’s many lies. That fascist activist’s wife, maybe justifiably and sadly in mourning, might make those claims as well and mistakenly join the cries for revenge many of Kirk’s fascist followers are voicing.
But all these fanatics and others who believe this lunatic is a martyr are wrong! He brought on, and, in a way, even predicted, his own demise via his fascist far-right hate speech. I’m not saying his killer acted correctly, but Charlie Kirk invariably went too far. Even his “Prove me wrong!” so often portrayed and voiced were the cries of a fascist crusader. His words weren’t free speech; they were more akin to shouting “fire!” in a crowded theater. People will die because of him. They already have, and more will succumb.
Of course, it’s sad! Of course, it’s evil! That we’ve dived this far into the dark chasm of hate and loathing that’s always hiding in the hearts of humanity will probably lead to another civil war here in the US. Hell, maybe we’re fighting the first battles of that civil war now, thanks to the disrupter and enabler, Donald Jackass Trump, and his sycophants like Charlie Kirk! The Utah governor calls for toning down the hate; our wannabe Il Duce ramps it up! He blames the left? Has he ever mentioned the attack on Pelosi’s husband? The assassination of those reps in Minnesota? The arson attack on the governor of Pennsylvania? And what about January 6, 2021? All done by right-wing fascist radicals at the beck and call of King Donald!
Trump revels in looking across this widening chasm he’s helped create. Many fascist leaders do the same, because they can then claim, as Trump the Chump has done so often, that only they can save the country, making their country “great again.”
That’s where we are now: Trump and his fascist followers are destroying US democracy. That’s what’s occurring around the world too, with the orange-skinned devil’s buddies, Putin and Xi, leading the charge. Humanity is doomed…mostly because we let it happen, making martyrs out of fanatics like Charlie Kirk!
