This is an important question for the NYC mayor and the NY state governor, but I don’t live in either. The blue state of NJ will feel Donald Jackass Trump’s revenge soon enough, I suppose, but now this “fucking moron” is focusing on the city and state he fled from to save his fat McD’s butt. Focusing is too nice a word: He’s blackmailing both Mayor Adams and Governor Hochul and using the DoJ to do it. So much for Republicans’ championing states’ rights. They can change on a moment’s notice when their wannabe fascist fuehrer’s mind changes.
In any case, I’m not answering the question. It’s Adams, Hochul, and Trump’s specific problem, although the its ramifications are more general. It will probably add more evidence that politicians, be they Dems or Good Ole Piranhas, are American traitors willing to let Trump destroy our Constitution and democracy.
There are still a few willing to fight the wannabe fuehrer: I’m a progressive, but I still can especially applaud the true conservatives, the non-fascists who refuse to allow the destruction of law and order in the US. We should all applaud Pence’s last-minute stubbornness on January 6, 2021, even though he went along with the mafia Don for most of his first term. We should all applaud Cheney and Kinzinger’s work on the committee that tried to hold Trump responsible for the first attempted coup in American history. We should all applaud those who justly tried to impeach the “fucking moron” for that same crime, especially those few Republican senators. And now we should thank the conservative attorneys in DoJ, led by Attorney Sassoon of the SDNY, who refused to follow Acting Attorney General Bove’s fascist orders to drop the charges against Adams. Whether guilty or not, that was an obvious quid pro quo the whole world saw on Fox News: The border czar telling Adams, “Follow my orders or suffer the consequences.” Bove’s reply to Sassoon shows that even more! Donald Jackass Trump named himself director of the Kennedy Center. He thinks he’s a damn NASCAR driver. And he’s also taken over New York City and become its de facto mayor.
This is fascism running wild in the US. The rights of cities and states don’t matter anymore. Conservatives who once screamed “Protect states’ rights!” now just pucker up and kiss the fuehrer’s fat ass. The few who don’t, conservatives or progressives, are wondering if governing responsibly in America is now impossible with a wannabe dictator who is stupid, incompetent, disruptive, and criminally motivated.
My fear is always that I’m watching the destruction of our country by fascists. It’s a runaway train heading for a wreck! There’s no one in the current president’s administration who earns my respect. On the contrary, I have no respect for most politicians now because other spineless bastards are letting this occur. What can we do if our leaders are feckless idiots and won’t stand up to the fascists? A lot of people are asking that very question!
