The fascist fuehrer of the FPA (“Fascist Party of America” once known as the Republican Party), Donald Jackass Trump, and all his fascist sycophants would like Americans to believe there was and is. Like most of the crap spewing from the mouth of that “f&^%ing moron,” these claims are lies…or, to use Narcissus le Grands terminology a la Goebbels, “alternate facts” he wants Americans to blindly accept as truth? They lied about the 2020 election; they’re lying about 2024!
Or an alternate definition of “landslide” where you barely win qualifies? Fascist Donald and his fascist cronies want to change that definition so that any win of the Electoral College (always a skewed result) and the popular vote (much more difficult to achieve) becomes a landslide? BS! That fascist chump only won the popular vote by about 1.5% if I’m generous, the third smallest percentage since 1888! That’s hardly a landslide.
In any decent, democratic, and parliamentary European country, a popular vote that close would either lead to a run-off election or shared power in parliament. Not in the US where the Electoral College distorts the results and our version of the House of Lords, the US Senate, has far too much power. (It’s only because Americans want to show how stupidly stubborn they can be that we do it differently…and non-democratically with the Electoral College.)
The bottom line is that the red-and-blue division in America is sadly so even that might as well have two countries. There’s been no mandate in the twenty-first century and few in the twentieth. Instead, you now have fascist mandates claiming otherwise. Don’t listen to them. The balance of power between fascists and democrats is dangerously real!
Maybe it’s time to be more civilized and share political power as the Europeans do? Or split the country into two, the DSA vs. FSA (“Democratic States of America” vs. “Fascist States if America”)? Or have another civil war to settle things once and for all?
In any case, the 2024 presidential election results were not a landslide and Trump and his fascist cronies cannot claim a mandate! To state otherwise is the epitome of evil and vicious Nazi-style lying!
