Erdogan’s Turkey won’t approve Finland and Sweden’s joining NATO? Turkey, like Orban’s Hungary and Putin’s Russia, is now completely fascist. The US needs to take the lead and encourage Europe to join with them to expel Hungary, Turkey, and other non-democratic countries from both the EU and NATO. Why should fascist countries be helped economically? Why should they be protected under NATO’s defense umbrella? It’s about time these countries be punished for their far-right policies that help Putin and Xi’s evil agendas!
I can just see conservatives, especially MAGA maniacs, complaining that I shouldn’t go after Erdogan after that terrible earthquake. [Fake sobs, fake sobs.] If any reader of this blog thinks that, they’re a complete idiot! I care a lot about the innocent Turkish victims of that disaster. I don’t give a rat’s ass about that tyrant Erdogan. And you can bet he won’t do much to help the Kurds and Syrians who are also suffering! (That’s been an old Turdish tradition ever since the Armenian genocide the Turks perpetrated. Assad and Erdogan will join forces to make the Kurds suffer even more. They’re already delaying the humanitarian aid!)
And conservatives might even like my criticism of Biden that follows! Inept and senile President Biden and his State Department minions (Blinken and nods) damn well better get their act together. They don’t have a good track record! And isn’t just due to recent earthquake. Biden went to Saudi Arabia and kissed MBS’s ass and swallowed, hook, line, and sinker, the lies the Taliban spewed about wanting peace in Afghanistan. That withdrawal was a huge debacle!
It all comes down to human rights. The ACLU should cancel the Biden administration’s membership cards! Fascists and terrorists (and that’s what Erdogan, Orban, and the Taliban are) don’t respect human rights, to say the least, and try to eliminate them in their countries. Neither the US nor the EU nor NATO should deal with these fascists and terrorists, much less help them economically or defensively. If you have a schoolyard bully, you don’t give him a big bat so he can club you!
I was never a fan of the Death Valley Days ex-president Reagan, but I have to give him credit for engineering the end of the fascist USSR. (Of course, he myopically only saw the Russians as Communists when they’ve always been fascists since the time of the czars.) We must squeeze fascist regimes’ economies and prove to them that democratic coalitions are stronger militarily. Period. No other “diplomacy” is needed. Pandering to tyrants like Erdogan makes absolutely no sense. (Too bad he didn’t die in that earthquake!)
