The incident has made it all the way to the national news; and from the local NYC media to ABC’s GMA, the media ignores ex-marine Penny’s side of the story as it panders to the the far left progressives and fascists. The NYC DJT prosecutor Alan Bragg, who is black, goes after the ex-marine too (because he’s white?). And the most reverend dufus Al Sharpton and the most progressive AOC scream murder. AOC even uses the incident to attack the military. (She and her squad, following their leader Bernie, are bent on leaving the nation unprotected against Putin, Xi, and the rest of America’s enemies.)
What’s going on? A man threatens to kill subway riders; says he doesn’t mind spending life in jail for his crimes; and has a sketchy, violent past excused by the three leftists just mentioned and all their far-left buddies as mental illness. He’s considered some kind of saint! BS! Mr. Penny is a concerned citizen, American patriot, and more of a decent human being than any of those idiots, unlike that threatening wild man they claim is the victim, a man who was definitely more a devil than a saint. That ex-marine protected himself and other subway riders; his supposed victim threatened to kill them.
What’s occurring here is yet another case of 21st century lynch-mob mentality among black community activists and far-left progressives and fascists. (The political spectrum isn’t linear. The far-left and far-right ends curl around and join up in a point called fascism.) The case of George Floyd and other atrocities should never be an excuse or justification for this lynch-mob mentality! Maybe those in these modern lynch mobs think turn-about is fair play? White men lynched black men all too often at one time—some still want to do that!—but that ex-marine was guilty of nothing unless being a responsible and concerned citizen standing up against violent behavior is now considered a crime.
A mostly silent majority—few dare to contradict an angry 21st century lynch mob directly, of course—have contributed millions of dollars to a GoFundMe account to defend the legal rights of this ex-marine, this real American hero with qualities that most of those from the lynch mob could never hope to have! Why are these people supporting him? Because people are generally fed up with the extremists who have corrupted #MeToo, #BLM, and other groups that have turned into lynch mobs!
Was the ME who called the good Samaritan’s action coached by Alan Bragg into declaring it a homicide? Did Bragg also coach the grand jury to indict the marine for his own political purposes or to escape the wrath of the leftists? He obviously didn’t have the guts to stand up against that demanding lynch mob! And he was certainly guilty of showboating by going after DJT for the lesser charge of a hush-money payment instead of letting Jack Smith indict the ex-president for the more important charge of mishandling classified documents.
Mind you, I’m no fan of Trump or his far-right MAGA maniacs, as readers of this blog know. But I’m against allowing either the far-left or far-right nitwits use fascist techniques to determine how American justice plays out. Society needs to consider the facts, not the alternate facts seen in the vitriol of the lynch mob; to make appropriate and fair charges after considering all the evidence; and to always recognize that everyone has the right to a fair trial. Mr. Penny has received none of those considerations—far from it! He has been arrested because of demands from the lynch mob, tried and determined guilty by the lynch mob, and might be punished unfairly because that’s what the lynch mob wants! And the facts, as seen by witnesses and Mr. Penny, facts ignored by people who weren’t there in their rush to go after the white man who’s ex-military, indicate that the ex-marine acted properly as a concerned and responsible citizen, actions we rarely can expect from AOC, Bragg, Sharpton, or their ilk!
In fact, those three and many others have become either members or leaders of the new 21st century lynch mobs that now plague our nation and threaten civic stability. They don’t believe in justice for all, only mob justice that pays little attention to reality. They’re repeating the errors of the past, and that’s a complete tragedy for American democracy. I have no use for mob justice, from the left or the right! It doesn’t belong in a sane society. But ours has become completely insane!
If we don’t limit the damage these extremists do, American democracy can’t possibly survive. ‘Nough said.
