Oliver Cromwell, the fanatical Puritan warrior of England responsible for many murders and Charles I losing his head, was one of the most vile and evil fascists in English history. I argue here that fanatical fascist and dishonorable SCOTUS judge Clarence Thomas is America’s Cromwell.
From the first moments of his Senate confirmation hearings, I knew this jerk was an SOB and evil pervert. The senators wouldn’t believe Anita Hill’s testimony; I did. The macho fat cats in the Senate at the time, a group that included Joe Biden, not only disbelieved her but subjected her to unfair verbal abuse. (The Senate has always been an affront to democracy since the Founding Fathers created it as their substitute for England’s House of Lords, i.e. the US Senate preserved the power of the American aristocracy).
During the years of the “liberal court,” Thomas bided his time like a stalking leopard hunting its prey; he rarely said anything. Unfortunately, Moscow Mitch McConnell engineered a fascist takeover of SCOTUS, creating the court we have now. This has permitted the leopard to pounce on his prey, American democracy. Like Cromwell, he’s out to purify America by taking away rights he considers anti-Christian and the Devil’s work: abortion rights and LGBTQ rights, to name two on the recent court docket. (A gift to parochial schools is in there too.) He’s now been very vocal about using Autocratic Alito’s arguments for a number of issues.
Clarence’s first murderous stroke of the pen has maybe been forgotten: He helped kill the ban on assault weapons! Think about that. Maybe he thinks only atheists and heathens’ children are the ones killed, so murdering them will purify their souls? Thomas should have been convicted of accessory to murder in many recent killings, from Sandy Hook to Highland Park. If only for that, this religious and fanatical fascist blows Cromwell away (pun intentional) and maybe should be compared instead to Eichmann.
Stay tuned! Thomas is leading SCOTUS on to more evil decisions that will purify America in his view. If there was ever an argument for SCOTUS term and age limits, he is it! He should at least recuse himself on a whole lot of cases because his faux-Puritanism (remember Anita Hill) is a legal bias if nothing else.
