I protested peacefully against the Vietnam War for many reasons: Failed US government policies, draftees dying in a meaningless war, and war atrocities committed by both sides among them. Hamas vs. Israel is very different! Let’s forget that most of these protests are a lot more threatening than Vietnam War protests and represent a dangerous undercurrent of either anti-Semitism, mental aberrations exhibited by too many Americans. Let’s analyze more obvious issues.
First, it’s Hamas vs. Israel; i.e. a terrorist group of murderers, rapists, and torturers intent on destroying a free democracy. The free world must apply to Hamas the same policy that should be applied to any terrorists: The only good terrorist is a dead terrorist! That’s what was done for 9/11 and Oklahoma City terrorists. It’s what should be done to the shooter at that Birmingham church; the murderers at Charlottesville (“good people on both sides”?—what a bag of excrement); the terrorists attacking and murdering at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021; all school shooters; and so forth—all terrorist events in the US where that policy was or should be applied. Murdering terrorists shouldn’t be coddled; they should die. Period.
Second, I don’t care who the supporters of terrorism might be. Sure, there are stupid Jews who go as far as protesting in support of Hamas. What about October 7? There are also stupid Americans who kill in support of terrorism and other forms of fascism as well. The best one can say about the latter is that they’re misguided idiots who want to follow that “f^%$ing moron” right over the cliff like rats following the Pied Piper.
Supporting Hamas is the epitome of psychotic behavior. Any reasonable person with any moral spine should realize that. The inverse is also true: If you support destroying the state of Israel, you would have been welcome as a participant promoting Hitler’s “final solution”!
Protestors, among them those irrational Jews, usually see what I see: Netanyahu is a fascist. Where the supporters of Hamas go wrong is supporting terrorism, an even more extreme form of fascism that that terrorist group and many others practice: They don’t just murder and maim; they rape and torture. Women and children are among their victims. Destruction of terrorist groups is a moral and noble goal; destroying Israel, a democratic country, makes absolutely no sense at all, unless you’re on Putin and Xi’s side and want to destroy democracy. There will never be peace in the Middle East if we can’t recognize the difference. Supporting Hamas means you can’t, so you’re complicit in their crimes and encourage them.
Back to Vietnam now: It was the last gasp of fascist McCarthy-ites and others who saw communism as a worse threat than fascism in the 1930s and following years—a complete misconception, of course, because the debunked ideology of communism also led to fascism: Neither Putin nor Xi are communists; they’re extreme fascist-terrorists themselves. The extremes of the political spectrum often curl around to join together in a point called fascism; that point isn’t ideological, and its extreme form is terrorism. Ideology is at best a lame excuse for fascist thinking.
Remember this from this post if nothing else: The only good terrorist is a dead terrorist! All terrorist leaders should suffer bin Laden and Gaddafi’s fates. That includes Putin, Xi, and all members of Hamas. Fascism and terrorism are cancers festering in the American and world’s body politic that need to be extirpated before they spread; otherwise that body cannot possibly survive.
Death to terrorists! Death to Hamas!
