Wow! All the Good Ole Piranhas’ jaws are already snapping as these fascists continue to tear democratic meat from the body politic. Moscow Mitch McConnell has declared that they’ll push for a federal ban of abortion if they win both houses of Congress—he and his fellow fascists focus more on “that leak” in a feeble attempt to distract from their insidious fascist plan to take away women’s rights. He and his fascist cronies accuse Biden of all Americans’ woes, from inflation to baby formula shortages, and some of them, to stir up the far-right white supremacists, even parrot that “great replacement” theory and QAnon conspiracy theories, following fascist Fox News Goebbels-like propagandistic lead. And, while the influence of that “f&^%ing moron” is waning, candidates echoing his Big Lie are still winning their primaries (NC’s Cawthorn was a welcome exception—can a candidate be too Trumpian?)—the marching morons who follow Il Duce are still a plague festering in the body politic like shingles after chicken pox.
I’m not sure if I want to live in America after November 2022 if these wingnuts continue to succeed in destroying the United States of America! (Can that single word “United” be an oxymoron? The “marching morons” want to make the country into the Fascist States of America. FSA uber alles! Of course, that’s what that Putin-loving and “f*&^ing moron” wants.)
Are we heading for a twenty-first century Civil War here in the US? Maybe. And just maybe it’s necessary to save even the remnants of democracy? I’m sick of all the blather and twaddle in DC and in the state capitals. It’s time wasted when there are so many important problems to solve in this nation and the world. But fascists are out to destroy the country, not solve any problems. The Good Ole Piranhas have become a fascist organization like the Nazis in 1930s Germany, and January 6 was their Kristallnacht. The FSA, what we call the “red states,” the disease of fascism is more a dangerous plague than Covid. A new Civil War would at least quarantine that plague and its victims!
I’m tired of politics in general and the Good Ole Piranhas’ fascism in particular. Politicians on both sides are just failed and incompetent lawyers for the most part, and their pathetic attempts to run the country are an extreme example of the committee of blind men describing an elephant—or jackass, to include both parties’ mascots. We joked that Watergate turned the GOP into an elephant with a sore Dick; Trump turned the GOP into a band of fascist thugs. When we can look back on Nixon, Reagan, and Bush and say that terrible trio wasn’t as bad as Trump, back to when the GOP actually legislated along with the Dems at least sometimes, we can only conclude that the country is in a sorry state. (That state isn’t quite as bad as Texas, but the Piranhas want to make all states like Abbott’s Nazi theme park.)
The media doesn’t help, allowing politicians to reduce any serious discussion of issues to thirty-second soundbites and zero-content slogans. People like Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity are the Nazis’ propaganda mouthpieces ready to lead us into a fascist Orwellian dystopia. The first didn’t waste any time going after Biden’s new press secretary; as a gay black, she’s red meat for the Fox News Piranhas that trumpet all things Trump as if he were Jesus Christ walking on water (maybe that pathetic scene with him in front of the church holding the Bible has inspired them?). Dems don’t watch Fox, only CNN; the marching morons don’t watch CNN, only Fox. The division of the country is nearly complete (the fascist judges overturning Roe v. Wade will probably put the nails in the coffin); we might as well declare the Civil War over and write the death certificate at the border between red and blue, i.e., between insanity and sanity. The 2022 midterms would then be anti-climatic, saving sane people a lot of agita (I don’t give a rat’s ass about the insane fascists).
Is this the way the world ends? Maybe just the US for the time being, that beacon for democracy and freedom throughout the world. When Orrin Hatch left this Earth to join Brigham Young and all the other famous Mormons (or to proselytize in Catholic heaven?), I thought about how he and old Teddy actually got some useful things done. Maybe people have forgotten about those saner times? Maybe now all we can do now is sit back and watch so-called politicians pontificate and do nothing? Clowns were always the best acts in the circus after all. The fascists in the Good Ole Piranhas at least have that going for them. And the Dems aren’t far behind either. Big tents? What a load of horse manure! Hmm. In the old days, the clowns followed the horses in the parade, sweeping away the droppings for the marching bands that followed. Now the clowns are doing the defecating on us, and we the people, at least some of us, are doing our best to sweep away their excrement.
Please make the 2022 midterms into a revolution, not one in support of fascist haters, bigots, and liars, but one supporting democracy, sanity, and reason. If we don’t pull the plug on the Good Ole Piranhas’ fish tank, there will be hell to pay! Here in America and the rest of the world. Ukraine is a war in defense of democracy. The 2022 midterms is too.
