Al Capone and other big-time gangsters were never put away for major crimes they themselves committed, so we shouldn’t be surprised that the mafia-Don and his family and closest minions would be exceptions: The law has to chip away at the Trump organization slowly but surely to put them out of business. That’s what’s occurring, and hopefully the chipping away goes fast enough to end their financial and political criminal deeds for good.
Narcissus le Grand has so many indictments that it’s easy to forget about some that are just as good for destroying him and his family, recalling Capone, Gotti, and other ganglan heavy-hitters. There are the Daniels payoff, rape case, and real estate scams, all associated with the Trump organization. Add this to the two DoJ cases and the Georgia case and you have a lot of chances to lock him up like he deserves or at least to end his career as a businessman and politician.
Of course, the two federal cases are quite enough to prove he’s a traitor who has worked to destroy American democracy and morph him into some bumbling South American caudillo. They should be enough to put him in front of a firing squad.
It’s sad to think that anyone in the US could view Trump as their savior. Or anyone else, for that matter. Beyond the court system, city, state, and federal, there’s plenty of evidence that this mafia-Don only cares about himself. Some of the court cases and threats he’s made (General Milly’s is but one) show that he’s willing to kill to get what he wants. That means he’s a psychotic sociopath differing little from a serial killer over and beyond his sexual perversions. Many autocrats throughout history have blazed the trail he follows before, so he has plenty who can serve as role models, from Nero (of course, Il Duce has no musical talent) to Putin and Xi (Il Duce doesn’t have their brains, which isn’t saying much). He’s dumber than them all, in fact, but that might not help us because his minions are smarter (but his followers are even dumber!).
We can only hope that the judicial system the mafia-Don has tried to warp into both a legislative body and political police that do his bidding somehow do the right thing and puts him away for good. If not, his campaign to create a violent solution must be met with violent resistance. His MAGA minions only amount to a minority of US citizens, but a civil war would still be a bloody solution to a problem that has a far simpler one: Get rid of the mafia-Don…permanently!
